Alternative Comparison
Compare up to six alternatives using weighted criteria. The tool computes the ranking, automatically checks which weight changes would flip the result, and makes the robustness of the recommendation visible.
Scoring matrix
Rate each alternative per criterion from 0 (unsuitable) to 5 (excellent). Weight: 1 (unimportant) to 5 (decisive). Names are editable – the demo data comes from the Atlas example “Industrial Site Expansion 2030”.
| Criterion · Weight | ||||
|---|---|---|---|---|
Scale: 0 = unsuitable · 5 = excellent
Ranking
Score = weighted sum, normalized to 100. Bars show the total score; the best option is marked.

- 2B · Battery storage + load management71
- 3C · On-site PV + storage63
- 4A · Grid expansion47
Close call: only 2 points between rank 1 and 2. Check sensitivities before committing.
Sensitivity check
The tool automatically varies each weight between 1 and 5 and checks whether the leading alternative changes.
The ranking flips with the following weight changes:
- Weight “Investment cost” set to 2 → new leader: B · Battery storage + load management
- Weight “Flexibility / scalability” set to 1 → new leader: B · Battery storage + load management
The tool is free – only saving with a PDF report counts as an analysis. Only then is the result sent to your KAPAZIQ account (servers in Germany).
Data note: All input in this tool stays local in your browser (localStorage) and is not transmitted to any server. “Reset” deletes the stored input.
