Decision Readiness Check
Answer 18 review questions on objective clarity, data quality, alternatives, uncertainty, stakeholders, and feasibility. The tool computes your Decision Readiness status and shows which gaps to close first.
1Objective clarity
—The objectives of the decision are documented in writing.
Every objective has a measurable target value.
Conflicting objectives (e.g. cost vs. resilience) are named and prioritized.
2Data quality
—The key input data (loads, costs, dates) is current and available.
The origin of the central data is documented.
Critical data gaps are identified and have a plan for closing them.
3Alternative coverage
—At least three serious alternatives have been examined.
A null variant (do nothing or defer) has been evaluated.
Non-technical alternatives (processes, flexibility, procurement) have been considered.
4Uncertainty transparency
—The key assumptions are explicitly documented.
Central figures are given as ranges rather than point values.
It is known which changes would flip the recommendation.
5Stakeholder alignment
—All affected stakeholders are identified.
Decision role and accountability are clear (who decides?).
Critical stakeholders have commented on the preferred option.
6Implementation feasibility
—Budget and financing are clarified.
The schedule is reconciled with permits and lead times.
Internal resources and responsibilities for implementation are assigned.
Data note: All input in this tool stays local in your browser (localStorage) and is not transmitted to any server. “Reset” deletes the stored input.
