Decision tools
Assumption Register
Record the assumptions behind your decision and rate uncertainty and impact. The tool assigns each assumption to a priority zone and suggests how to handle it: validate, plan robustly, monitor, or document.
Record an assumption
Each scale runs from 1 (low) to 5 (high).
Priority matrix
Each assumption is positioned by uncertainty (x) and impact on the decision (y). Assumptions in the red field must be validated before the decision.
- Validate now
- High uncertainty, high impact: secure with data, expert opinions, or binding statements before the decision.
- Plan robustly
- Low uncertainty, high impact: treat as a fixed boundary condition in planning and contracts.
- Monitor
- High uncertainty, low impact: attach a review trigger and reassess regularly.
- Document
- Low uncertainty, low impact: document in the Decision Passport – no further action needed.
Prioritized assumptions
Sorted by priority (uncertainty × impact). Add a concrete validation step for critical assumptions.
1Production demand increases by 18–25%.
Validate now2Grid expansion requires 24 to 48 months.
Validate now3Battery prices continue to decline moderately.
Document
The tool is free – only saving with a PDF report counts as an analysis. Only then is the result sent to your KAPAZIQ account (servers in Germany).
Data note: All input in this tool stays local in your browser (localStorage) and is not transmitted to any server. “Reset” deletes the stored input.
